Visa / Relocation

Q What type of residence status is required to work in Japan? Does the company provide support for obtaining or renewing it?

A work visa is required to work in Japan. Our company provides guidance on the necessary documents and assists with the application and renewal process.

Q Are there fixed rules or limits regarding relocation expenses, reimbursements, or payment methods?

Currently, there are no fixed standards or maximum limits for relocation expenses. We handle each case individually based on employment conditions and personal circumstances.

Q Is there support for finding housing, temporary stays, or bringing family members?

The company provides rental housing for employees. We also assist with family accompaniment by offering support for housing and necessary procedures to ensure a smooth relocation before joining.

Q Do you provide support for visa procedures for family members (spouse/children)? Are documents available in English?

We’re sorry, but the company does not handle or support visa procedures on behalf of family members. You will need to complete these procedures on your own.

Q Is there support for daily life arrangements such as resident registration, opening a bank account, or signing a mobile phone contract?

Yes, we provide support for these procedures. We’ll guide you through the necessary steps and help ensure a smooth start to your daily life after joining the company.

Q Is it possible to work remotely from overseas on a temporary basis?

Depending on your work style preferences and individual circumstances, remote work from overseas may be approved on a case-by-case basis. Details will be determined through discussion, taking into account your role and work requirements.

Q What is the emergency contact information, and when is English support available?

Inquiries are accepted by email only (recruit@yrl.co.jp).
English support is available on weekdays from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Japan time).

Q How are start dates and offer acceptance deadlines determined?

Details regarding your start date will be provided individually at the time of offer. We’ll adjust schedules flexibly based on your travel plans and visa application status.

Compensation & Evaluation

Q How are base salary and overtime pay determined?

The base salary is determined based on your job grade and professional level. There is no fixed overtime allowance.

Q What are the premium rates for overtime, late-night, or holiday work? How are they calculated if they overlap?

In accordance with Japanese labor law, overtime work is paid at 1.25 times the base rate, late-night work at 1.25 times, and holiday work at 1.35 times.
If overtime and late-night work overlap, the combined rate is 1.6 times.

Q Are there allowances for late-night or holiday work?

Yes. Additional allowances are provided in accordance with Japanese labor law.

Q How is overtime calculated beyond fixed working hours?

Our company does not have a fixed overtime system; all overtime is calculated based on actual working hours.

Q How long is the probation period? Are there any differences in treatment during that time?

The probation period is three months. Salary and employment conditions remain the same during this period.

Q If I am not accepted during the probation period, who covers the cost of returning to my home country?

Travel expenses for returning to your home country will be your own responsibility.

Q How is performance evaluation conducted?

Evaluations are carried out twice a year, based on the achievement of goals set for each half-year period.

Q Are bonuses provided?

Yes. Bonuses are paid twice a year, in June and December.

Role / Requirements

Q What level of Japanese or English proficiency is required?

There are no specific language requirements at the selection stage. We welcome candidates who are motivated to learn Japanese.

Q How much English is used in the assigned department?

At present, there are few opportunities to use English in daily work, but it may become necessary in the future depending on business needs.

Q How often are business trips required? What is the ratio between domestic and overseas travel?

This depends on the position. For development engineers, business trips are rare.

Q Is there a fixed training program or schedule after joining?

After joining, you will participate in an orientation session. An on-the-job training (OJT) mentor will provide support for one year.

Q Are internal transfers or open recruitment opportunities available within the company?

Yes. Employees can apply for internal transfer opportunities through our open recruitment system.

Application / Selection Process

Q How long does it take to receive the results of each selection step (document screening, interviews, etc.)?

You will be notified of the results within one to two weeks.

Q Is it possible to schedule interviews early in the morning or late at night to accommodate time differences?

Yes. We can adjust the schedule and interview time based on your availability and time zone.

Q Are there any specific formats or submission methods required for application documents?

There are no specific requirements. Please send your documents to the email address listed on the application page.

Q What do you place the most emphasis on during the selection process?

We conduct a comprehensive evaluation that considers your academic background, experience, skills, and motivation for applying.

Q Can I reapply if I’m not selected? Are there any conditions or time limits for holding my application?

We generally do not accept reapplications. There is no holding period; applicants are notified of the results within two weeks.

Q What is the maximum grace period or condition if relocation or start of work is delayed after receiving an offer?

If you are unable to graduate within the fiscal year, the offer will be withdrawn.

Q Who should I contact for post-offer procedures or support?

The Human Resources and General Affairs Department will assist you. Details will be provided after you receive your offer.

Q How can I check my application status or contact the company regarding schedule changes or missing documents?
